Adios, 2009

When the fireworks died down last night, our family gathered together in the living room & prayed our usual end-of-the-year thanksgiving prayer. It lasted for an hour and thirty minutes, the longest it has been since we began this tradition.
Now that I think about it, most of my thanks were for the people he's brought to (and away) from me. 2009 was my year for others, I believe. It wasn't a year of success or achievements, it was all about the relationships that were formed and lost. Those who left me brought me heartache and pain (no joke) but that was quickly evened out by those that came / those that came closer (Hi, D & D & J).
2009 was all about the people.
Can 2010 be all about me?
I feel like this is my year (but I feel like it really isn't).
